Description
The EUSGUNEAK project aims to establish a cooperation network to promote the use of Basque, reducing linguistic barriers between the communities of Euskadi, Navarra, and the Atlantic Pyrenees. With a cross-border approach, EUSGUNEAK promotes the modernization of Basque learning infrastructures, strengthening collaboration between public entities responsible for Basque education and increasing accessibility to the language. The project also aims to establish a joint and sustainable planning framework to promote the long-term use of Basque in the Western Functional Area territories.
The project will have a significant impact on promoting the use of Basque, with more than 25,000 people using the INGURA platform during the project. Additionally, 300 students and 36 young people from the Atlantic Pyrenees will participate in Basque language stays and courses, helping to reduce linguistic barriers and promote the language in the region.
