The First Cross-Border Job Fair brings together talent and companies from both sides of the border

The initiative is part of the LANEAN project, which aims to create and consolidate the cross-border “labour market basin” in the AFOMEF territory, within the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Euskadi Navarre Euroregion, by strengthening institutional cooperation, information exchange and improving services for workers and businesses. The event aims to boost cross-border cooperation in employment and open up new opportunities for shared development.

More than 55 companies from a wide range of sectors such as hospitality, food, industry and services from Gipuzkoa, Navarra and New Aquitaine will be present at the fair with the aim of recruiting professionals and filling various positions. The companies will receive and collect CVs from people who visit their stands and who fit into the required profiles.

The public employment services of the three territories: Lanbide, Servicio Navarro de Empleo-Nafar Lansare and France Travail will also be present, together with the association Bidez Bide, which will provide information on the recognition of foreign qualifications, and Adiskidetuak, which will offer free advice on issues related to foreign nationals.

In addition to the areas dedicated to interviews, the fair will offer practical information on selection processes, the most searched for professional profiles and resources to help with job searches, with the aim of providing better support to candidates.

LANEAN has been 65% co-financed by the European Union, within the AFOMEF POCTEFA call for proposals of the Interreg VI-A Spain–France–Andorra programme (POCTEFA 2021–2027), which aims to strengthen the economic and social integration of the border area between Spain, France and Andorra.
